GrievIQFrom complaint to resolution.
Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
GrievIQ is an independent platform, not officially operated by any government authority. See our
About us page for details.
Using GrievIQ
By using GrievIQ, you agree to submit grievances in good faith and provide accurate contact information so we can verify your identity and route your case correctly.
No guarantee of resolution
GrievIQ is provided as-is. We surface escalation timing transparently — showing when a case has moved past its usual response time at each level — but we cannot guarantee that any representative will act on a grievance within a specific timeframe, and we cannot compel a response.
Acceptable use
Misuse of the platform — including false reports, harassment, or spam submissions — may result in your access being restricted.
Independence
GrievIQ is an independent service and is not officially operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government body. Disputes or concerns about GrievIQ itself should be directed to us, not to any government authority.
Paid plans for offices
- Who pays: representatives' offices and department offices pay for the plan they choose, at the same published price for every office (see For offices). Citizens never pay to file or follow a complaint.
- Bills and quotations: each bill covers one month or one year, paid in advance, at the published price on the day it is made, with GST shown separately. A quotation holds its price until the date shown on it.
- Paying: online through Razorpay where it is offered, or by UPI or bank transfer to the details shown when you sign in to GrievIQ. Never pay to any other account, whoever asks. Payments by a political party or an election campaign are not accepted.
- If a bill isn't paid: everything keeps working for 7 days after the paid period ends; then the office's access becomes view only until it pays. Citizens' complaints still reach the office and move up on time.
- Refunds, cancellation and delivery: see Refunds and cancellation and Service delivery.
- Citizens' data: an office may use complaint details only to resolve complaints, never for campaigns or messages about anything else. This is also part of the office's agreement with GrievIQ and our Privacy policy.
- Law: these terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh, have jurisdiction.
Community helpers
- Who they are: local people approved by GrievIQ staff to help neighbours file and follow complaints, only when asked. A representative's office can't approve, block or employ a helper, and representatives' offices and GrievIQ staff can't be helpers.
- Identity check: Google sign-in, one photo ID (Voter ID preferred; PAN card, driving licence or passport; Aadhaar only masked), a selfie holding the ID and a video call. One staff member checks and a different one decides. GrievIQ keeps only the ID type, its last 4 characters and a coded check against reuse; the photos are deleted 30 days after the decision. The ID is checked again every 12 months.
- The fee: the same monthly fee for everyone (shown on the Community helpers page, GST included), paid in advance online in the helper's own name from their own money, never by a political party or an election campaign. It buys the helper role only: no ranking, featuring or protection from removal. A month starts on the day of approval; after it ends there are 3 days' grace, then the helper role pauses until paid.
- Conduct: a helper never asks for or takes money or favours from citizens, never speaks for a party or a candidate, files only what the citizen asks for, and keeps citizens' details private. GrievIQ may suspend or remove a helper for breaking these rules, with the reason given. One appeal is allowed, within 30 days, decided by a different staff member.
- Elections: while the election code is in force in a helper's area (the dates GrievIQ already uses for paid notices), there are no new applications or payments there, the helper role pauses, and the paused days are added to the helper's month.
- The public record: only the helper number, whether it is active, the ward or village and since when. Never a name, party or symbol. Each active helper has a digital ID card on their phone with their number, a photo of their face confirmed by GrievIQ staff, and a QR code that changes every minute. Scanning it with your own phone shows whether the card is genuine and the helper's photo; a typed-in number never shows the photo.
- Filing for a citizen: a helper's complaint reaches the representative only after the citizen confirms they asked for it, with a code or link sent to their own email, or on a call from GrievIQ staff if they have no email (otherwise it is dropped after 7 days and its details deleted). At most 15 a day per helper. The office sees only that a Community helper helped, never who. The citizen can remove the helper from their complaint at any time on the Track page; the helper then can't see it. A citizen saying they didn't ask, or a filing found false, counts against the helper; 3 such cases pause the helper automatically.
- Refunds, cancellation and delivery: see Refunds and cancellation and Service delivery.
