Time limits

How long each level has to deal with your complaint, so you know what to expect before you file.

How it works

  1. When you file, your complaint goes straight to the representative of your ward or village.
  2. They must first acknowledge it, then act on it, within the time limits below for that type of problem.
  3. If they don't act in time, it moves up automatically to the next level (for example your MLA, then your MP) and that level gets the same time again. The level below can still see it.
  4. When it is marked fixed, you are asked to confirm. If it isn't really fixed, you can say so and it is reopened.

Time is counted in hours from the moment you file, including weekends and holidays. Your exact dates are shown after you file and on the Track page.

Time limits by type of problem

Some problems, such as land disputes, need a legal review first. They have no fixed time to act; you can follow them on the Track page.

These limits are set by GrievIQ for each type of problem and are the same for every ward. Questions? See Help & contact.
